HPES is always on the lookout for freelance personnel displaying a high degree of competency and professionalism in one or more of the following areas of publishing: writing, editing, copy editing, proofreading, print design and production, and electronic design and production.
Qualified candidates will have:
- a minimum of three years experience in the educational publishing industry;
- a level of computer literacy that permits them to send and receive electronic files in a variety of formats;
- an ongoing awareness of trends and tendencies in education;
- an ability to work in a high-pressure environment under often-tight deadlines.
A year or more of teaching or other classroom experience among editorial applicants is considered a plus.
